Privacy and terms
Updated October 18, 2026. There are no accounts on TimeForViews, and we don’t sell personal information.
Visitor statistics
We use Google Analytics to see which pages are read and how visitors find the site. It uses cookies and collects information such as the pages you view, your approximate location, your device and browser, and the site that sent you. We look at these statistics only as totals. Google’s use of this information is covered by the Google Privacy Policy, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Tools, your location and My trips
The tools run in your browser. What you select or type isn’t sent to us.
If you press “Use my location”, your browser asks your permission and then gives your position to the page, which uses it to work out the sun’s times. It isn’t sent to us or stored.
When you save a trip in My trips, your browser keeps it (its name, place, dates and airline) in its own storage, on this device only. It is never sent to us. Delete the trip in My trips, or clear this site’s data in your browser, to remove it.
Live data and live views
The aurora forecast is loaded from NOAA’s Space Weather Prediction Center when you open a page that shows it; NOAA receives the request like any other visit to its site. “Live view” buttons open Google Maps, which Google’s own privacy policy covers.
Contact form
If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address and message. The form is delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms (see the Web3Forms privacy policy). We use what you send only to reply to you.
Hosting and security
The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes technical information such as IP addresses and request details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.
Terms of use
The information and tools on TimeForViews are general and provided as is. Climate figures describe typical years, not forecasts; seasons, rules, reservations and airline limits change. Check the official source for your dates before you travel. We aren’t responsible for decisions made from the information here. TimeForViews isn’t affiliated with, or endorsed by, any organization it cites. The text, drawings and tools are © 2026 TimeForViews.
